Will India win the World Cup?

India the champions of 1983 are still waiting to win another one and hopefully this will be the cup and year when we can win our second World Cup. We really wish and hope that the team does well and make us proud in the world. Kapil’s men won us the world cup when they were not expected to win and since than we have come so close yet so far to win another for another two decades. Dravid has a great team and all the stats and figure will show we are one of the favourites to win the cup this time. But what I really do not understand we Indians take this game so seriously that we put undue pressure on the team. One thing which I do not like is the unnecessary things we do like performing yagnas and puja in church, masjid and temples. I would rather like those enthusiastic youths to do some real social work and does some charity work for the poor and needy. They should help each other and make sure India shows to the other World that her citizens are real human beings who love and care about other fellow citizens.

I would really like to wish India to win the cup but with the start they have against Bangladesh it does not look good. Let’s not lose hope and think that it was a minor bleep and we will learn from our mistake and get our acts together. The team should make a serious effort and regroup themselves so that they can win the rest of their matches. We are still with the team and would be with them through thick and thin and wish them all the success.

Come on India show the entire world how good you are and why we are so proud of you’ll.

Is there any Humans left in Pakistani Army?

Events of Kargil war is still alive with most of Indians who still cannot forgive Pakistan for their act of cowardism. But events like this makes us more determined to hate them more than before. I would like to request all our readers to express their views whether Indian or not. If you are a Human being and would like to be treated as one please express your solidarity and views so that we can show the Pakistani Govt to take action against the guilty of this cruel event.

Lt. Saurabh Kalia of 4 JAT Regiment of the Indian Army laid down his life at the young age of 22 for the nation while guarding the frontiers at Kargil. His parents, indeed the Indian Army and nation itself, lost a dedicated, honest and brave son.He was the first officer to detect and inform about Pakistani intrusion. Pakistan captured him and his patrol party of 5 brave   men alive on May 15, 1999 from the Indian side of LOC. They were kept in captivity for three weeks and subjected to unprecedented  brutal torture, evident from their bodies handed over by Pakistan Army on June 9, 1999. The Pakistanis indulged in dastardly acts of inflicting burns on these Indian officers with cigarettes, piercing their ears with hot rods, removing their eyes before puncturing them and breaking most of the bones and teeth. They even chopped off various limbs and private organs of the Indian soldiers besides inflicting unimaginable physical and mental torture.

After 22 days of torture, the brave soldiers were ultimately shot dead. A detailed post-mortem report is with the Indian Army. Pakistan dared to humiliate India this way flouting all international norms. They proved the extent to which they can degrade humanity. However, the Indian soldiers did not break while undergoing all this unimaginable barbarism, which speaks volumes  of their patriotism, grit, determination, tenacity and valour-something all of India should be  proud of.Sacrificing oneself for the nation is an honour every soldier would be proud of, but no parent, army or nation can accept what happened to these brave sons of India. I am afraid every parent may think twice to send their child in the armed forces if we all fall short of our duty  in safeguarding the PRISONERS OF WAR AND LET THEM MEET THE FATE OF LT.SAURABH KALIA.
It may also send a demoralising signal to the army personnel fighting for the Nation that our POWs in Pak cannot be taken care of. It is a matter of shame and disgust that most of
Indian Human Rights Organisations by and large, showed apathy in this matter.

Through this humble submission, may I appeal to all the civilized people irrespective of colour, caste, region, religion and political lineage to stir their conscience and rise to take this as a NATIONAL ISSUE !!! International Human Rights Organizations must be approached to expose and pressure Pakistan to identify, book and punish all those who perpetrated this heinous crime to our men in uniform. If Pakistan is allowed to go unpunished in this case, we can only imagine the consequences. Below is the list of 5 other soldiers who preferred to die for the country rather than open their mouths in front of enemy –

Is Mamta right to go on strike against TATA?

Finally Mamta Banerjee broke her fast after she recieved a letter from President and PM requesting her to break her fast and they will try to solve this issue asap. But I would like to know from our readers whether they are in favour of the strike or would consider this strike as yet another political stunt. The worst thing to note is the CPI and CPM who are supporting TATA for this project are the same people who opposed TATA to instal a steel plant in Orissa’s Ganjam district. I think all this support and opposing of big projects are down to political parties to reap benefit for themselves and their party.

I really do not believe that they are in any way concerned for the people of the State. They only see their own benefit if they recioeve their cut to the share than they keep quiet and see positives in a project and if not they just oppose it to make sure that no one gets any benefit. We the people of India are taken for a ride earlier the Mughals than the BRitish and now these white collar politicians.

I wish Mamta recovers soon and show us the real reason for her strike and if that is correct we are with her. Everyone wants the country to develop and grow as much as it can but at the same time we cannot stamp on someone’s throat to grow. We want the poor farmers to get their real worth for their land and proper job. We would request  TATA to take care that the local people and do development work in and around that area and set an example for their major companies who wants to do similar type of projects. I would request all the viewers to share their views on a sua a serious topic.

Silence is the solution for CPM’s problems

No one would have ever thought that sports will create such a impact on politics. The entire opposition in West Bengal were shocked to see that what they could not do in three decades was achieved by a single man. Jagmohan Dalmiya single handedly won the election against the might of the powerful CM of West Bengal. His victory did not go well with the CM and he declared Dalmiya to be a evil man and asked him to leave his post. But this comments did not go well within his own party and his cabinet colleagues and they voiced ther dissatisfication in media. This went to the extent that the opposition felt they could gain out of this controversy. The best part of this election was most of the opposition parties did not know what did Dalmiya do that he won the election against all the odds which neither Mamta nor Pranab can ever dream. Soon the CPM big boss realised that the opposition will be only benefited by this internal fued and descided that no one will comment on this topic. Biman Bose said “Henceforth, no minister or party representative will pass comments on the CAB issue. It is behind us.” This is the first time we saw some internal fighting in CPM in West Bengal. Opposition will surely try to take advantage of this and hit when required but for time being CPM has set ths issue by asking its party to keep silence. Sometimes silence speaks louder than voice and lets hope this silence is good for Bengal’s Cricket.

Why West Bengal Always Goes For Red

West Bengal for last 30 years have always elected CPM to rule their state. What does CPM have which is missing from their opposition why the oppposition never managed to win a single election for so many years. Is CPM winning due to weak opposition or their people friendly policies and developments they have done for the state. I would think it should be mixture of both no doubt at the current time there is no strong opposition part of leader to challenge the mights of Basu and Budhadev. Congress which was the main opposition to left have gone through series of internal fights and broke up inot two halves with Mamta banerjee leading the bigger half and started a new party of trinumool Congress. Mamta well known by her critics to change her stand everytime could not prove much threat to left front. In the last election she did not win anything remarkable and left won the election with absolute majority. The last general election also opposition parties did not win anything other than Mamta herself. One thing is sure that left wins the election not only because of weaker opposition but also people friendly policies. Jyoti basu ruled the state for 25 long years and have done lot of development work for the state, The present CM Buddhadev is well known for his development projects and gets credit even from his critics and opposition. From the current situtaion it does not look like left will be defeated atleast for another 5 to 10 years. Everytime Opposition use to shout foul about the rigging of the election but this time the election commision did a remarkable job and most of the polls went peacefully. Thus after the defeat Mamta did not have anything to make excuse this time. We wish the opposition find out the real problem and work for the people of the state and work as a constructive opposition and help the Govt to implement people friendly policies. Or else West bengal will remain Red for ever.
